E-Cooler is the first HVAC device designed specifically for energy storage solutions, replacing the HVAC devices that have been widely used for cooling technical rooms and data centers. E-Cooler is compatible with most battery manufacturers’ products, easier and more cost-effective to install, and optimized specifically for cooling battery and inverter hardware used in energy storages.

The design of E-Cooler specifically takes into account the ease of separating cold and hot air. It also better serves customers with energy storage applications where battery technology is exposed to extreme loads. This underlines the importance of the cooling system capacity and system reliability.

E-Cooler has been designed by Enico Oy and its partners.

“The device has been designed with over 30 years of experience in a wide range of demanding air conditioner solutions”, Lähteenmäki says.

“In addition of long-term product development experience in HVAC technology utilised, our drawing board featured the current problems of HVAC equipment in energy storage applications and the solutions that such cooling equipment must have in order to be efficient enough.”

The end result is a more cost-effective system that does not require customization of the energy storage module itself.

E-Cooler is also durable as it can withstand a wide variety of extreme conditions. Whether used in the mountains, in the desert, or in marine conditions, high performance and low maintenance of the device are maintained. This also ensures that the energy storage remains operational.

In the future, Enico Oy will carry out normal product development according to demand for more cooling capacity areas and air volumes. One of the plans is that in the future, the device could be mounted not only on the ceiling but also on the wall.
